Artificial Intelligence (AI) in HR

Artificial Intelligence (AI) enables machines to think like humans (Barboza, 2019). The goal of computer science's AI field is to work on machine-driven intelligence that can address cognitive challenges that are normally associated with human intellect. As a result, artificial intelligence is capable of performing a wide range of human cognitive functions, including learning, problem-solving, reasoning, and even language processing. The human and technological focus is clearly the future of HR, with the latter being considered by some as a potential danger to HR as we know it. The more pragmatic and positive view is that AI's continuous progress will be the great liberator of HR's time, allowing HR leaders, practitioners, and people managers to refocus on the people interactions that really count.

Benefits Of Artificial Intelligence For HR

HR has the most sophisticated data management and analytical requirements of any industry. Any department's ability to acquire and interpret data and generate preliminary forecasts based on changing conditions can benefit from AI technology. Manually gathering and analyzing the same amount of data that AI systems can do in seconds would take weeks. For the following reasons, speed is crucial in today's fast-paced corporate climate (Kopoulos, 2021).

Creating business opportunities by enabling faster decisions at the right times.

Quickly obtaining accurate data

Making it easier to notice trends by facilitating pattern identification.

All business operations will be sped up.

Taking notes on previous achievements and failures

Pros of AI for HR Departments

An organized process

Human Bias is reduced

Experience with candidates has been improved

Allows investment in other aspects of business

Cons of AI for HR Departments

Too relying on certain keywords

less human intervention
Reduced accuracy and reliability

Requires an improved skillset

Not always possible to implement

Conclusion

To perform efficiently, artificial intelligence needs a significant amount of data, which necessitates efficient storage and administration. Businesses would need more staff to handle and maintain the complicated software. The ideal way to employ AI in HR management is to analyze data with AI technologies and leave decision-making to humans. Examine the areas where AI could be useful before implementing it in HR. It has the ability to increase productivity while cutting operating costs if the primary goal is to improve the entire work experience.
